On Friday, April 25th, dozens of volunteers gathered at the ICC in Ghent for the official kick-off of the EAMHID congress. The atmosphere was immediately lively with enthusiastic encounters, a lot of curiosity and the first group photos.
We are preparing for the 15th EAMHID Congress in Ghent and our focus is setting a new benchmark for inclusion and co-creation. With our insights from previous events, we are implementing innovative strategies to ensure individuals with disabilities are part of every aspect of the congress.
In September 2023, Marijn and Glorian from Konekt attended the 14th EAMHID Congress in Helsinki (Finland). Their mission was to assess the inclusion of the event and gather insights for the upcoming EAMHID 2025 Congress in Ghent.

With an enormous supply of cuberdons and a mission, Glorian and Marijn traveled to Helsinki, Finland. At the EAMHID congress 2023, they listened to inspiring speakers and researchers. But they were also there to observe: how accessible is the conference, and what can be improved upon next time? After all, they will be co-organizing the EAMHID congress in 2025.
