Who is who?

The Organization of the Broeders van Liefde in Belgium manages more than 50 schools for regular and special primary and secondary education, 12 psychiatric hospitals, and 13 orthopedagogical centers. Our activities also include elderly care, addiction care, social economy, and childcare. In total, 12,500 employees in Flanders and 1,500 in Wallonia provide care and education to around 40,000 children, young people, adults, and elderly.

ARFIE strongly believes that a person with disability should be enabled to be the main decision-maker in his/her future life projects and that professionals should be trained, skilledand qualified to offer an adequate support tothe evolving needs of people with disabilities.

Konekt is radically committed to a world where people with and without disabilities live, learn, and work together. Together with partners throughout Flanders, they empower people and drive social change.

The European Association for Mental Health in Intellectual Disability (EAMHID) provides a platform for academics, health professionals and policy makers. The purpose of the Association is to facilitate international cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of mental health in people with an intellectual disability. Special emphasis is placed on the coordination and promotion of scientific activities and improving standards of care and support throughout Europe.
